I am a Kentucky girl at heart. I love the rolling hills, vibrant autumns, brilliant springs, humid summers, and dreary winters... so maybe not that last one! I have a passion for animals, singing, books, cooking and baking, exploring, and of course, my wonderful Kentuckian husband, Gerrit.
We are Air Force newlyweds, dropped into the middle of England, trying to start our life together. We have a spunky black cat named George who makes our everyday life a little bit more interesting. Be sure to check out his British daybook blog.
Together, Gerrit and I are learning how to be "big people" who do "big people stuff", how our marriage is going to evolve and grow, how to live together without furniture flyin', how to live life away from those we've always had for support and adjust to military life.
Our Jumping Bean
My 2010 Christmas surprise was this little miracle. We are so completely in love already and eagerly await the day our Jumping Bean will make their debut- hurry up and get here September 4, 2011!
What a cute living room!! Our base housing has these floor-to-ceiling windows across an ENTIRE wall. Like, a whole wall of just windows. So.. we don't actually have a curtain :\ We're currently using a bed sheet. LOL. That sounds so terrible, but I don't want to pay a lot of money for curtains since they're going to be tearing down our housing soon :\ Oh well.. Until then, we'll just be using a bed sheet ;] hehe.
