I am a Kentucky girl at heart. I love the rolling hills, vibrant autumns, brilliant springs, humid summers, and dreary winters... so maybe not that last one! I have a passion for animals, singing, books, cooking and baking, exploring, and of course, my wonderful Kentuckian husband, Gerrit.
We are Air Force newlyweds, dropped into the middle of England, trying to start our life together. We have a spunky black cat named George who makes our everyday life a little bit more interesting. Be sure to check out his British daybook blog.
Together, Gerrit and I are learning how to be "big people" who do "big people stuff", how our marriage is going to evolve and grow, how to live together without furniture flyin', how to live life away from those we've always had for support and adjust to military life.

Weekly Wisdom: I got nothing.
Milestones: FULL TERM!
I am so ready to for this baby to pop out, you have no idea- that is, unless you've had a baby- then you feel my pain. I have contractions every night and off and on during the day. So between those and unbelievable amounts of pelvic pressure and pain, I'm far away from being comfortable. We have our labor rehearsal class tonight- stinks that its only a single class, but I guess that is better than nothing! Oh, and my mom gets here in 6 days! Who will arrive first: my mom or the baby???
