21 Weeks!

21 Weeks!
(Please ignore my face in the picture)
Total weight gain/loss: Still only +4.0 lbs on record since I don't use a scale outside the dr's office! Will have an update in about 4 weeks after my next appt.

Maternity clothes? Sticking to the maternity pants though the paneled ones still don't fit right. And as for shirts, at least 80% of my regular shirts are too short without a cami underneath!

Stretch marks? Nope, not yet

Sleep:Actually back to sleeping through most nights-woo! I'm having to make a conscious effort not to lay on my back though.

Best moment this week: Seeing Gerrit's face when he felt JB kick :)

Movement: Lots of wiggling and kicking, especially with caffeine!

Food cravings: A big bowl of fruit and yogurt

Gender: 8 days !

Labor Signs:Absolutely not!

Belly Button in or out? Stretching/ flattening out. If I try and stretch it more, it starts turning into an outtie!

Wedding rings on or off? I don't where them at the gym but other than that, still wearing them as usual.

What I miss: Being my normal flexible self- pregnant woman are not meant to twist whatsoever!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out if Mr CCS or Miss MGS is bakin' in the oven!

Weekly Wisdom: Don't wish the short and sweet moments of pregnancy away

Milestones: Halfway there!

Time is absolutely flying by, pregnancy wise. I feel like it was just January, honestly, I thought I would never past that first trimester. And now, I can start counting down from the halfway point to JB's arrival! I am so thankful for such a great pregnancy so far, with so few complications. I absolute did not enjoy the first 12 weeks at all. I mean to the extreme of thinking "I am NEVER going through this again!" The second trimester seems to be making up for those long, fatigued weeks with all its sweet and exciting moments.  I absolutely cannot wait to meet this little miracle growing inside of me!

20 Weeks And Nursery Project #2!

20 Weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Still only +4.0 lbs according to the WIC scale last week.

Best moment this week: Finding out that my anatomy scan just got bumped from May 2 to April 29! Gotta love military down days!

Movement:Tons of movement, especially last night :)

Food cravings: At this moment, I would killed for a turkey and swiss on rye with a little mayo, lettuce and tomato...

Gender: Scan on April 29!

Labor Signs:Absolutely not!

Belly Button in or out? Stretching/ flattening out. If I try and stretch it more, it starts turning into an outtie!

Wedding rings on or off? I don't where them at the gym but other than that, still wearing them as usual.

What I miss: Other than my husband?

What I am looking forward to: Gerrit getting to feel the baby move :)

Weekly Wisdom: Don't wish the short and sweet moments of pregnancy away

Milestones: Almost half way there!

I cannot believe I'm at the halfway point. I really felt like I would never get past the first trimester, let alone this far. I'm definitely starting to actually look like I have a precious passenger in my belly, especially when I wake up first thing in the morning with a full bladder! My only wish was that my husband was here to share in the little, sweet moments every day...

AND here is Nursery Project #2!

Originally wood, this is base coat.

Voila! Final Product!

Nursery Project #1

I found these at the base craft store and decided they could be used as bookends if they were spiffied up a bit.

Sans Paint

Progress Day 1

And Voila! Final product! I didn't really think you needed a picture before and after the varnish/protective coat but it took more than three days to get everything touched up and varnished. Oh, and these are definitely little boxes so you can either nestle them inside each other or put a little something in them.  :)

And as of an hour ago, I have begun my Nursery Project  #2!

19 Weeks- Almost Halfway There!

19 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still only +4.0 lbs according to the WIC scale today

Maternity clothes?Preferring the maternity pants but it's a mix on the shirts- some regular shirts are too short and a good few of my maternity shirts are still too big

Stretch marks? Nope, not yet

Sleep:Actually back to sleeping through most nights-woo!

Best moment this week: Not related to my pregnancy but spent Tuesday assembling (someone else's) nursery furniture with two awesome ladies :)

Movement: Lots of wiggly movement! And I could even feel one good kick with my hand one night :)

Food cravings:Loving my turkey hot dogs right now.

Gender: Unknown until May 2!

Labor Signs:Absolutely not!

Belly Button in or out? Same as always, maybe a little stretched.

Wedding rings on or off? I don't where them at the gym but other than that, still wearing them as usual.

What I miss: Other than my husband?

What I am looking forward to: Gerrit getting to feel the baby move :)

Weekly Wisdom: ... Sorry folks- I got nothing.

Milestones: Just getting through another week complication free :)

Starting to actually actually look preggo this week. Not a HUGE difference but I'm starting to pass the "plump" look and more into the bump look. Anatomy ultrasound will be May 2 and IT CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH! I am the worst at waiting.... I have been doing some crafty crafts and for the nursery. Pictures of project #1 will be up shortly!

Looking about the same as I did last week. And I think last week's pictures may have been due to dinner and a funny camera angle. I still look more like I need to cut  back on my cookies that I look pregnant...

17 Weeks!

17 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  +4.0 lbs

Maternity clothes?I have been wearing my maternity pants just because my regular jeans push on the bump which is uncomfortable and almost painful at times. (And yes, it's totally okay for my uterus to be tender so no worries there.)

Stretch marks? Nope, not yet

Sleep: Only getting up once a night to pee and some nights, i sleep all night!

Best moment this week:Hearing JB's heart beat at the drs!

Movement:Just feeling some random uterine twitches, nothing that I would consider baby movement.

Food cravings: Melon and sweets

Gender:Still a mystery....but I'm getting impatient!

Labor Signs:Absolutely not!

Belly Button in or out? Same as always

Wedding rings on or off? I don't where them at the gym but other than that, still wearing them as usual.

What I miss: Hands down, its a big yummy deli sandwich from the commissary :(

What I am looking forward to: Feeling movement for the first time and finding out if its a little girl or a little boy!

Weekly Wisdom: Pee before you leave the house. And at your destination when you arrive ;)

Milestones: Just getting through another week complication free :)

JB and I have had another great week, especially now that we have this silly sinus infection under control thanks to the wonderful invention of antibiotics. My belly is finally starting to pop as you can see in the picture, though I think the camera angle made it look a little bigger than it actually is. Oh well, I do what I can when there's no photographer around. I can officially make an appointment for the anatomy scan on April 1 so I'm hoping to snag one on May 1! So ready to know already!

16 Weeks!

16 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I only use the dr's scale so we'll know on Friday, though I may or may not tell you the damage!  ;)

Maternity clothes?I have actually worn two pairs of maternity pants just because they were comfy and the first thing I could grab- not because my other didn't fit.

Stretch marks? Nope, not yet

Sleep:Still getting up in the night due to my expanding uterus pushing on my poor bladder (and I will be for a few more months)

Best moment this week:Sunshine! though that is totally unbaby related

Movement:Not sure if it was movement, but about two days ago, I was dozing after I first woke up and was completely jerked awake when I felt *something* happening with my uterus. Coulda been JB, coulda not.

Food cravings: Honeydew melon- it was on sale and I'm loving it!

JB and I have had a great week, not counting the cold I have come down with. He got spoiled with lots of awesome food over my birthday weekend, and I'm just sure he was jamming to the music during Les Miserables on on Saturday night! (Read "he" as baby- its an arbitrary term until we now for sure ;) )

While I am feeling oh so much better, pregnancy wise, I have had some personal issues with my "bump". Though its not really a baby bump quite yet, it looks more like I just need to lay off the cookies and hit the gym. I have always struggled with my self image and had actually lost weight this Fall that I had gained since the summer. Now I look and feel like that was all in vain. My jeans still fit, though I'm not sure how. And when I sit down, it feels like the 'bump' is just the beginnings of a tire around my middle. It's just hard for me when I am at the gym and can "hear" people thinking that I should lay off the cookies, and I just want to scream "It's a baby- not too many cookies!" Hopefully, one morning I will wake up and it will have gone from cookie-tire to baby-bump.
On a better note, 16 week appt coming up this Friday! Just 2 more days!
